Warhead of the Daleks: Outtake/Music Clip

INT. RECEPTION AREA (NIGHT)

The Doctor is working at the door while Kamelion keeps watch.

DOCTOR
Since the stalemate began, I've encountered them twice, on little missions to expand their imagination. They were trying to reengineer their species in the New Earth system, and then that business on Skaro...

At this point, a rotund figure barges on screen.

LEVINE
AHEM! You're daring to call a comic strip in Doctor Who Weekly canon?! I'm sorry, but this is not canonical! NOT AT ALL!

KAMELION
What the hell... Oi, fatso, this is a TAKE!

DOCTOR
John! You promised he wouldn't be allowed in!

Levine easily fills the camera.

LEVINE
And, before you write in, my appearance in this isn't canonical EITHER!

KAMELION
So piss off then!

LEVINE
I'm just here to clearly distinguish between the canonical and non-canonical.

DOCTOR
Call the police. Preferably the evil Dalek ones.

LEVINE
And, while we're on the topic, what do the words 'biological grandfather' REALLY mean, anyway?

There is a dull thud. Levine falls to the ground. Kamelion holds a baseball bat.

DOCTOR
Thanks Mel.

KAMELION
My pleasure, Pete. Back to the acting, then?

DOCTOR
You bet.

Suddenly frustrated, he repeatedly kicks Ian in the ribs.

KAMELION
Is something wrong, Doctor?

DOCTOR
Hmmm? Oh. None of the controls respond. We'll have to find some other...

The Doctor gives up at the console and heads for the corridor Kamelion stands in.

WARHEAD OF THE DALEKS - Nena, with 99 Red Balloons

(The doors of the warehouse burst open as the builders escape.)

99 red balloons...

(Further down the street, the tramp watches the group as they turn and close the doors.)

...floating in the summer sky...

(The tramp frowns in confusion at the spectacle.)

Panic bells!

(Jerry the builder abandons trying to hold the door closed and runs for it.)

It's red alert!

(The tramp watches non-plussed as Jerry runs past him.)

There's something here...

(Jerry is nearing the end of the steet.)

...from somewhere else...

(An android policeman raises his machine and opens fire.)

(The bodies fall dead to the ground.)

The war machine...

(The Cassius Four airlock explodes outwards, and Mercer, Phin and the crew instinctively flinch.)

...it springs to life...

(The Supreme Dalek speaks to the crystal ball.)

Caption: "WARHEAD OF THE DALEKS" SEES THE RETURN OF THE OLD ENEMY AFTER NEARLY FIVE YEARS.

(Three Daleks glide forward in Styles' lab.)

Opens up one eager eye...

(In the warehouse, a Dalek opens fire on the androids.)

(Galloway, struck, falls through the door, flips over the balcony and down to the floor below.)

...focusing it on the sky...

(In the TARDIS, Tegan broods.)

TEGAN: I’ve seen too much.

...as 99 red balloons go by...

(The Doctor is strapped to the mind analysis machine.)

DOCTOR: Don’t I get a last request?

(Tegan is running along the docklands looking for help.)

(Kamelion shimmers between his human form and Lytton via his android form.)

Caption: THE STORY IS BROADCAST AS TWO 45-MINUTE EPISODES TO ACCOMMODATE COVERAGE OF THE SARAJEVO WINTER OLYMPICS.

(Three Daleks turn their attention to the entrance of the time corridor.)

(Davros grows tense.)

DAVROS: Grogan! Kill the Doctor!

(The Doctor slowly aims at Davros’ head.)

(Kamelion holds a gun to the Doctor's head as Daleks swarm around them.)

(Tegan runs out of the TARDIS into the night.)

Caption: TEGAN IS THE FIRST OF THE REGULARS TO LEAVE, BIDDING FAREWELL AFTER THREE YEARS.
